Filter box cover, tube seat, UV lamp & power source, intake chamber, flow adjustment knob, bio foam, intake tube, filter cartridge, surface skimmer, rotor, connect tube, power unit, strainer, and power cord.
- Remove the unit from the box and check for any signs of damage.
- Rinse the filter box, filter lid, and accessory plumbing pieces with clean water. Dry with a soft cloth. Do not rinse any electrical components.
- Rinse the filter cartridge of carbon dust. This is done once the run-off water is clear.
- Hang the filter unit from the desired side of the aquarium. the electrical cords should be on the outside of the aquarium.
- Connect the intake tube to the filter housing by placing the tube seat on top of the rotor.
- Connect the strainer to the connection tube and set to the length. Attach to the surface skimmer.
- Insert filter cartridge.
- Use the filter leveler to adjust how the unit sits against the aquarium wall (located on the bottom margin of the filter box). The filter box should be parallel to the aquarium wall.
- Fill the unit with clean water and place cover into place.
- Connect the UV bulb power cord to its independent power source.
- Plug in the filter pump and UV sterilizer bulb. Make drip loop for each cord plugged into an electrical outlet.
