The filter features an integrated heater, so you can minimize the amount of equipment that’s seen in your aquarium. It features two disposable, multi-stage filter cartridges and two biological filter foams. Each multi-stage cartridge features a filter foam, three chemical media mix and filter fleece. The foam traps debris and waste and also provides surface area for beneficial bacteria growth. The filter media mix removes odors, impurities and harmful nutrients from the water, while the fleece traps extremely fine debris for a water polishing effect. An adjustable leveler for securing the filter onto the aquarium rim makes for easy setup, while a handy cleaning indicator lets you see when it’s time to change the filter cartridge.
